Feast of Dreams Updates

I've personally never looked good as Jemima (My face is too mature to play kittens well), but I do really like this wig!

I finished up the Demeter costume (Sorry, no modeled shots, I'm too curvy for the unitard). This one has been packaged up and is now heading for London.

I have been putting this off, hoping that if I didn't write about the wedding it would just keep going. After being home for about a week, and doing a lot of costume work, life is beginning to fall back into a normal pace.

So it is time to write.

Finished up these feet for Naka:



(They're a little baggy on me. They are, in fact, several sizes too large for my little girly feet.)

They are my "con shoe" style. They are built around a pair of Converse shoes, and have a zipper up the back. That way you can slip the shoe in and out. Wearing your favorite broken in shoes and having nice footpaws? Awesome. Not having to sacrifice the shoes to the foot paws? Even better.

Real photos when I can get it on him. This is my first attempt at Men's formal wear (as well as my first ever button holes!). The fabric is a white on white cotton print, and lapels and details are pure white. Michael will be wearing this at our wedding.

One last shot of the velvet fox head. I tossed him on the postal scale before sending him off to the new owner.



He only weighs 13.8 oz. I knew he was light, but not THAT light!

My first ever London styled tail.

The top part is knit in the round and then layered with yarn, the bottom is my standard method.

I don't have the yarn if front of me, but I do know that there are 12+ textures colors in this tail.

There is more to this costume, but as it is unitard based, it just doesn't photograph well without a person in it. Hopefully the commissioner will supply some photos of it being worn.

This was quite an experience. I've never before tried to "fur" anything in stretch velvet. Let me tell you, it is not a friendly material with which to work. I feel that I learned a lot, and am fairly pleased with the results. My favorite piece of this costume is the little hair tuft that I added to the head. The hair tuft is fake hair that I blended to color match and laid in by hand (similar process to my Cats wigs).

This costume includes a custom footed unitard, a velvet skinned "use you own eyes" coldfoam mask (complete with working jaw), a yarn tail, and custom made velvet gloves.As I said before, this was a learning experience, and I'm very glad to have had this opportunity.

Hey all,

Since I have had several people contact me over the past few days, I thought I'd just go head and make a general commissions announcement.

I am currently not accepting any more Halloween deadline commissions. I am taking many less this time around than I have in the past as most of October will be getting ready for my wedding, the wedding, and the subsequent honeymoon. I have about one week of solid time to work for October, and it's already filled.

My next available commission slot is late November/early December. Once I fill projects to December 15th, I'm going to be closing for the rest of the year. So if you want a project from me this year (in time for Christmas or FC), you'll need to contact me soon.

New fox ears for Jennifer:



I left the shape untrimmed as the natural "point" of the fur matched the concept art fairly well! The concept art inner ear is beige colored, but labeled pink (thus the ears have a very nice soft pink inside).

They went out in the mail this morning.

Let me start out by saying that everything is fine (or at least is on the mend). Had a medical emergency this weekend, and am still trying to get back on track with things. I'll be answering emails asap.

This is the first head from my new "big cat" mold. It is a use your own eyes style. The head was all white (black ears), and all of the details were airbrushed on.
